i just purchased a above ground pool. no one likes to go in a freezing cold pool so i am wondering if i should purchase solar rings or a solar cover. do they actually make the water warmer?

Above Ground Pool. I am having a get together this weekend. The temp is going to drop into the mid 60’s. I hate to deal with the plastic solar covers (and I don’t think they work all that well). I would consider a black tube solar heating system but don’t know how effective they are. Are there any chemicals that will do it? What about the solar fish that leaks os Isopropyl Alcohol? I don’t want to spend a ton…as I hope to get a heater next season

The house that signed a contract to buy has an above ground pool. If I never use the pool and just cover it whole year… will it go bad? If I never plan to use the pool what is the best option? to dismantle it or just drain all the water and keep it covered for ever?

I was told the correct time to filter the pool water is mid morning with the solar cover on rather than in the middle of the night. During mid morning the solar cover will heat the water evenly as opposed to late at night when the air is cooler. Any advice on this subject. What is the best way to maximaise the solar cover and heat the pool water ?

My 18×33 above ground pool couldnt handle the crazy ice and snowloads this year. It was like a giant piston pushing down until the bottoms of the walls bloated and bulged along the bottom 4 inches or so and the liner blew. I did cut all the ropes to my cover weights/jugs. Now I am slowly watching my pool buckle as the last 10 inches of ice melts.
Can you just buy the sheetmetal wall?

there’s tadpoles in my mom’s above ground pool. she went away for the summer and i guess some frogs laid eggs in the pool cover. i don’t want to hurt them. how long will it take for them to grow into frogs, and how can i prevent frogs from laying more eggs?
they laid eggs in the cover.
