Hi, I am a newbie and the pool place is RUDE to newbies and small poool owners!
I need to add Stabalizer to my metal frame pool and the bottle says to "slowly add it to my skimmer"
What and where is my skimmer.
Ps I have a small pump with "A" size filters
Hi guys, I have an Intex "Easy Set" pool that my kids have absolutely LOVED for the 6 years or so that we’ve had it. The pool itself is fine, but the 2" plastic hose that that runs from the motor to the filter of the pump has cracked. I’ve looked absolutely EVERYwhere and cannot find one — not one hardware store, pool supply store, etc, in my area has this size hose. The company discontinued this model several years ago and are now using smaller diameter hoses — evidently they have no adapters which will accomodate the old ones (how convenient!). In the meantime, this leaves me in a real lurch and time is running out before my pool starts collecting algae. My husband just found out his job is being eliminated, and this is not a good time to buy a whole new pool, not to mention that I HATE throwing things away for stupid minor reasons like a hose — we have enough garbage in the landfills as it is!(lol) Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can fix this or get a new hose?
i have a 24ft round above ground silverado by patriot pool that i just put up a couple of weeks ago and i was wondering ive been hearing how great these swg are from intex. and i was wondering if i could use it on my 1hp jacuzzi laser filter?? and how they worked and if i would be better just using chemicals??
Hi, I’d love some help. We have an 18 x 48, intex above ground pool with a filter system. Recently, I’ve noticed the water got very cloudy. I’ve checked all the chemical levels. We just filled it 2 weeks ago. I did the shock treatment twice, I’ve added clarifier, algecide & plenty of liquid chlorine…plus I also have a floater of the chlorine tablets. I changed the filter, & I’ve vacuumed every day this week. I’ve been running the filter for about 12 hours a day (I don’t turst leaving it plugged in while we’re @ work). We live in Ohio & the past few days we got significant amount of rain. I would love any suggestions that I haven’t tried already. Thanks ![]()
I bought a intex metal frame pool 15 x 48…
Its going in my dirt backyard..I believe the backyard is a bit unlevel..
So im just looking for tips from others who also had to level for their intex metal frame pool.
Thanks.
And also, i saw it says dont use an extension cord for the filter..but how can you not if a pool is in the middle of the backyard far away from the house? Or at least mine…
we had a slight algae problem. i treated it with the correct amt of algaeside and then shocked it, im getting no algae in the filter now but the pool water is green..there is no algae on the bottom either..has the shock settled on the bottom and caused the print pattern of the pool to fade into the water and discolor it..
do i put it in the filter? if so how? or just stick it in the pool?
I have an Intex pool for the kids with a short cord. I need to use a heavy duty outdoor extension cord for the filter. I don’t like leaving that laying on the lawn with dew and rain and everything. Can I put it in some kind of conduit? I do not run the filter when anyone is in the pool, just in case. I do have an outdoor GFI-protected outlet. I’m sure I’m not the only one doing this!! Thanks!
I have an Intex salt water filter. It converts the salt into chlorine by splitting the salt into chlorine and sodium. Its suppose to show that chlorine is being made by a green light showing but it hasn’t done that in a week. What can I do to fix it?
