I am having problems with the mustard green algae… To futher complicate matters I have an Sta-Rite paper filter so all the wonderful answers that talk about backwashing I can’t do! I do have a pool rover but it is not helping too much. The pool is a light green cloudy color and my Free Chlorine is 3.0, Total Chlorine is 3.0,Comb Chlorine 0.0, PH 7.4, hardness 255 ppm, Alkalinity 190, Cyanuric Acid 100. We have been shocking, and vacumming and cleaning filter 2 times a day and still we are cloudy green. Any suggestions? Husband (who does’nt swim) said I need to take up gambling so we will lose less money!!!!! Thanks to all

15X30 above ground, 21" sand filter (sta-rite) 1 1/2 Hp pump. Vacuum is automatic. Backwashed several times, doesn’t help,

I have a pool and the first filter i had broke so bought a new one. The pump from the old filter was fine and had no problems(pool is like 1 year old only swam in 1 summer) So now i have a hayward filter and sta-rite pump will they work togther or should i return the hayward pump(just bought it today)?

We had to get a new ABG filter/pump system, home warranty covered it, they installed a Sta Rite system. When removing the lid to take the filter out, pvc is too rigid and makes the connection to the eyeball wiggle, causing it to leak. We installed a combination of pvc, and flex hose, but now it is blowing out where those are connected. The hose clamps can't be tightened enough to withstand the pressure I guess. Any solutions would help tremendously. Thanks
