The water wants to flow outwards from the pool. Hence the bracing to keep it from blowing OUT and NOT IN. The sidewalls don’t weigh enough to counter the force of the water and fall in….

thanks smartass… theres 18″ of concrete behind the panels.. 6″ more than required for the collar. 5yds. Believe it or not it was done by the book.. permits.. inspections.. whole 9 yrds.

About 2 weeks from breaking ground to filling with water… another couple of days to do the apron after it settled in.

Wow, you guys need a better excavator. That was alot of hand digging you did. Most pool holes I dig only take a 1/2 day with little to no hand work. Also, using a groute mix off a truck would be way faster and cost less.
