INSTALLING A POOL HEATER..HELP!!?

This may be kind of a stupid question, but I am going to have a Hayward 250,000 BTU natural gas pool heater installed for my in-ground pool next week. I could not find any “one” company that would do it all, so I have a plumber set up to run the gas line and an electrician to wire it up. My question is, who should I have do there job first? What comes first? Gas or electric? Thanks..

Generally speaking the plumbing first. Its usually easier to place the electric around the pipes instead of the other way around. But my heater just plugs in to the outlet already there for the pump, it only powers an igniter and exhaust in the heater.

Check with the company that you bought the pool heater from. If it’s a millivolt system then no hydro required.
